About Charles

What It's Like to Work With Me

I’m not here to analyze you or fix you. I’m here to sit with you, ask the right questions, and help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that you may have had to shut down to survive.

My coaching is present-focused, practical, and rooted in real life. We won’t spend all our time digging up the past. Instead, we’ll explore what’s happening in your body, your nervous system, and your relationships right now. Together, we’ll look at how your survival strategies may still be shaping your decisions and how to build new ways of showing up for yourself and others.

You set the pace. You choose the focus. I bring the tools, the training, and a steady presence. Clients often tell me they feel safe enough to be fully themselves in our sessions. I create space where you don’t have to explain your trauma in detail to start healing. We work with what’s here, in this moment, and build forward from there.

This work is built around your values and your vision for your life.

I'm Charles Marroni

I didn’t set out to become a trauma-informed coach. As a kid, I wanted to be a firefighter. Something about the courage, the gear, the sense of purpose. I just knew I wanted to help people.

I’m a trauma survivor. I’ve lived through the slow, painful process of healing from childhood trauma, and I know how hard it is to do that in a world that doesn’t always make space for your pain. I spent years feeling misunderstood, emotionally overwhelmed, and searching for something, anything, that would help me make sense of what I was carrying. I traveled to over 40 countries trying to outrun my past and find myself.

What I found was coaching.

Working with my first coach changed everything. For the first time, I felt seen. I wasn’t treated like a diagnosis or a problem to be fixed. I was a whole person. That experience helped me start to regulate, reconnect, and slowly rebuild my sense of self on my terms.

Since then, I’ve dedicated my life to learning how to offer others what I was once so desperate to find: grounded, trauma-informed support that’s present-focused, collaborative, and human. My work is rooted in the principles of polyvagal theory and positive psychology and supported by training in mindfulness, nervous system regulation, holistic coaching, NLP, trauma support, applied somatics, and solution-focused modalities.

This isn’t just a profession for me. It’s a personal calling. I know what it’s like to survive. I know what it takes to start living again. And I’m here for the people who are ready to move forward.

I offer a space that’s safe, inclusive, and real. A space where your story isn’t too much, your emotions aren’t a problem, and your desire to heal is met with tools, not judgment. You don’t need to explain everything. You just need to want something different.
